The beautiful Georgian market town of Lymington is set on the South coast, between Southampton and Bournemouth.
Famous for its sailing history, there are two marinas filled with fishing boats and yachts, as well as two sailing clubs. The Isle of Wight is a half hour ferry ride away from Lymington Pier. The town’s narrow streets are filled with unique local pubs and restaurants.
The New Forest National Park is renowned for its ancient woodlands, wild open heathlands, iconic New Forest ponies, and stretches of beautiful coastline.
The New Forest has wonderful opportunities for recreation including walks, cycling paths, historic pubs, idyllic villages, birdwatching, Beaulieu and Bucklers Hard, Exbury Gardens & Steam Railway, and much more.
I live in the New Forest, and adore Lymington making it both ideal for coastal and forest living!
I have a young daughter and a wiggly golden retriever who spends her time exploring in the forest, usually sniffing out deer, and chasing balls on the beach and surf.
